How to connect my custom domain to dukaan

1. Log in to your Dukaan dashboard

Go to https://web.mydukaan.io and log in to your account.

2. Access the Store Settings

Once logged in, navigate to the top right corner and click on "more".

Select 'Store Settings' from the dropdown list.

  • Host: Enter "@"

3. Navigate to the Domains section

In the left menu of the Store Settings page, you'll find an option labelled 'Domains'. Click on it.

4. Connect Your Custom Domain

On the Domains page, you'll see a section labelled "Already have a domain?".

Click on the 'Connect' button located in this section.

When prompted, input your domain name. Remember, don't include 'http://' or 'https://'. For instance, if your domain is 'https://www.sample.com', simply enter 'sample.com'.

5. Update DNS Settings at Your Domain Provider

Your domain provider is the platform or service from which you purchased your domain (e.g., GoDaddy, BigRock).

After entering your domain name in Dukaan, you'll be provided with 'A record' values. You'll need to update these values in the DNS settings of your domain provider.

DNS Settings Update Steps:

Locate the DNS or Domain Management section in your domain provider's dashboard. This is where you can make changes to domain-related settings.

Find and select the option to modify your 'A record'.

Update the 'A record' with the following details:

- Type: A

- Host: @

- Points to: 103.181.194.5

- TTL: 1 hour

7. Troubleshooting

Please remember that DNS propagation (the time it takes for the change to reflect worldwide) can sometimes take a while, often up to 24 hours, even if you set the TTL to 1 hour. If you're unsure about the changes, or if something seems amiss, don't hesitate to contact the respective domain provider's support team.

If you encounter any issues, use the DNS Checker tool at [https://dnschecker.org/](https://dnschecker.org/).

Enter your custom domain and hit 'Search'.

The results should display the IP address 103.181.194.5. If it does, your domain is correctly connected to Dukaan.

Should there be any discrepancies or if your website doesn't load, feel free to reach out to Dukaan support at [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]).
