How to Group Contacts within an Organization using the 'Company Object' Feature

Company Object

The Company Object feature gives you the ability to create a new entity called “Company” and map contacts under them. This can also be looked at as a grouping mechanism for a list of contacts, where a list of contacts can be mapped to a company and their consolidated activities can be tracked.

Creating a Company:

In order to use company object feature, you need to have company created in your CRM.

Navigate to Contacts > Company > New Company.

Fill in details like Company name, optional info (phone, email, etc.)

Click "Add Company."

Editing/Updating Company Details:

  1. Simply click the 3 dots next to the Company you wish to edit.
  2. choose "Edit Company" button to update your details effortlessly.

Deleting a Company:

  1. Click the 3 dots next to the Company you wish to Delete.
  2. Click the Delete tab.

Adding Contacts to a Company:

  1. Go to contacts section of the CRM and select the contact that you want to link with the company
  2. Click the Company tab. Search for the company and add them.

Removing a Contact from a Company:

Navigate to the Company tab, select the desired company, switch to Contacts, click the Trash button next to the contact you wish to remove, confirm with a "Yes." It's essential to note that removing won't erase the contacts; it solely removes the Company information.
